Ingredients/Shopping List

Who doesn’t love making brownies? This easy recipe just has 5 simple ingredients that come together quickly to make these sweet treats. You will need:

19 oz (13×9 in pan size) Brownie Mix  2 Tbsp Chocolate Syrup 2 Tbsp Corn Syrup ¼ Cup Water  Halloween Sprinkles

Baking supplies you need include a large microwave safe bowl, rubber spatula, candy thermometer, and a plate or baking sheet.

Is it Safe to Eat Raw Brownie Mix?

This no bake brownie bites recipe may have you wondering if it’s safe to eat uncooked brownie mix. While we do not bake the recipe, we will microwave the brownie mix a little at a time until the temperature is 160°F. This process makes it safer to eat so you don’t have to worry. There are also new products available like this no-bake brownie mix you can buy that is safe to eat raw at room temperature.

How to Make It

If using a regular boxed brownie mix, place dry mix in a large microwave safe mixing bowl and heat in 30 second increments in the microwave, stirring between each for about 1-2 minutes or until temperature is 160°F using a candy thermometer. Then, remove from microwave and add in corn syrup, chocolate syrup and water. Stir until well mixed and smooth.  Now comes the fun part!

Place sprinkles in a shallow dish. A saucer works well for this. Use one per type of sprinkles if you plan to use more than one kind. Using a spoon or cookie scoop, spoon out brownie mixture a little at a time and roll into a ball. TIP: If you put a little water on your hands before rolling, it will help keep the batter from sticking to them.  Roll each ball in Halloween sprinkles to coat and place on a wire rack or baking sheet.  Repeat until all batter has been made into truffles.  Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving and serve chilled.

Optional toppings

If you want to reuse this recipe for other occasions, here are some additional topping ideas. Roll your brownie batter in one or all of the following!

Crushed nuts Mini chocolate chips Melted candy melts Peanut butter chips Caramel sauce Coconut flakes Chocolate frosting

How to Store Brownie Bites

Store any leftovers in an airtight container and refrigerate. The sprinkles should keep the brownie balls from sticking together. You can also add parchment paper between layers.
